Chocolate, pepper, espresso.A nose dominated by toasted oak, dried herbs, leather, peppery spices, dark roasted coffee beans and bittersweet chocolate wrapped tightly around a core of black fruit.
The palate leads with sweet blackberries and plum but is similarly dominated by oak. A wine, which needs the dense protein of beef or hard cheeses to soften some of the firm but ripe tannic structure.
